What is the Natural Charcoal 25pcs, Size: 4- 5 mm?

The Natural Charcoal 25pcs is a premium pack of traditional willow charcoal sticks designed for expressive drawing, rapid gesture studies, and deep value shading. Created by slow-baking natural willow twigs in an oxygen-free chamber, this raw charcoal contains no added binders or chemicals. The resulting 4–5mm sticks glide effortlessly across textured paper, yielding soft grey tones and intense deep blacks that smudge and blend with extreme ease.

How to Use the Natural Charcoal 25pcs  for Best Results

1. Rough Outlines: Hold the stick lightly near the back to map out initial gestures, horizons, and compositional layouts with light pressure.

2. Apply Broad Tonal Washes: Snap a stick in half and lay the flat side down to block in large shadow masses across the paper quickly.

3. Blend & Soften: Use paper stumps (tortillons), chamois cloth, or your fingers to push the charcoal dust into the paper grain for soft gradient transitions.

4. Lift Highlights: Use a kneaded eraser to pick up charcoal pigment selectively, revealing bright paper white for highlights and catchlights.

5. Fix Your Work: Apply a light coat of spray fixative upon completion to lock the loose charcoal particles onto the paper surface and prevent smudging.
